​We're looking for a Project Development Manager working on end-to-end development, providing opportunities to lead all aspects of renewable energy projects.

Your role will involve managing project sites from origination, initial development, and landowner engagement to the completion of the Development Approval and Grid Connection Agreement. Projects are primarily located in Western Australia with a focus on the Wholesale Electricity Market, requiring occasional regional travel. The successful candidate will also play a key role in late-stage development and project transaction activities.

Company Overview:

The Green Recruitment Company has partnered with a leading renewables developer and service provider in search of a Development Manager to oversee Solar, BESS, and Wind projects. As the Development Manager, you should be a seasoned professional with expertise in renewable energy project development, equity, and debt financing within Australia or a related field.

Your Responsibilities:

Site Origination - Reporting to MD

  • Conducting desktop assessments for new greenfield wind, solar, and battery opportunities, considering planning, grid, and land factors.

  • Collaborating with landowners to secure exclusivity agreements, options to lease, and necessary easements or licenses for the project site and interconnection.

  • Additionally, setting and tracking budgets and programs for all development activities.

  • Furthermore, managing development activities, including planning, grid, and land works.

  • In addition, overseeing tendering processes and managing external planning resources for project approval.

  • Moreover, handling key stakeholder relationships throughout the planning process.

  • Managing external resources involved in the grid connection process, reporting on key risks, and monitoring program impacts.

  • Additionally, engaging with local Network Service Providers (NSPs) to negotiate connection agreements.

  • Lastly, supervise external legal resources to ensure all project-specific contracts meet bankable standards.

Further opportunities may arise in capital raising, debt structuring, and project commercialization work, reporting to the MD.

Requirements:

  • Proven track record in the Australian renewable energy sector, ideally with 2-5 years of experience.
