My client is a global leader in the offshore wind sector. They are seeking an experienced Procurement Professional to support their growing portfolio of renewable energy projects on a global scale. My client has over 300 employees globally and are working on some of the largest utility scale wind energy projects.

The Role

You will be responsible for leading the procurement process across all disciplines of offshore wind - a fast evolving business. You will be a strategic thinker with a strong commercial focus. You will be able to engage and collaborate with the full supply chain, managing the team internally as well as external clients, help developing and primarily executing procurement strategies as well as identifying novel market approaches to maximize the company's profitability.

Job Responsibilities:

•         Assisting engineering and project teams through the procurement process (design, tender and award);

•         Providing contest to the projects as and when required;

•         Ensures procurement processes comply with company criteria and procedures;

•         Follows latest product solutions and innovations for the technology in his/her scope and takes part in marketing intelligence activities following technology in the company's target countries/areas to help deliver best value solutions;

•         Supports the cost analysis by providing input regarding price levels of supplies and installation by countries and regions;

•         Develops and maintains industry relationships with suppliers and stakeholders;

•         Responsible for keeping close relationships with suppliers of strategic items, reviewing and evaluating supplier pre-qualification questionnaires, collecting information about the suppliers and keeping it updated in line with the company procedures;

•         Accountable for keeping track of the tendering process, including management of bidding stage, comparison and evaluation of offers, and negotiating contracts;

•         Negotiates and manages all strategic contracts (main components and frameworks).

Your Profile:

·         8+ years of experience in the international renewable energy sector

·         Managerial experience in procurement

·         Experience with procurement or category management, contracting and negotiations

·         Strong commercial mindset
