Leveraging a multi-disciplinary approach across the automotive, aerospace, and chemical sectors, the firm is driving sustainability by enabling manufacturers to integrate carbon-derived silica while significantly cutting emissions.
Our client is seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Process Engineer to join the team, contributing to the design, optimization, and scale-up of our cutting-edge carbon conversion technologies. This position offers a highly interdisciplinary scope, blending process simulation, plant design, hands-on troubleshooting, and innovative problem-solving to drive impactful results.
Key Responsibilities:
Design, optimize, and troubleshoot chemical processes to enhance efficiency, safety, and scalability.
Utilize process simulation tools (e.g., Aspen Plus or equivalent) for comprehensive plant modeling and process optimization.
Incorporate safety, reliability, and environmental best practices throughout all phases of process design and implementation.
Lead and support scale-up initiatives from laboratory through pilot to full industrial scale.
Work collaboratively with cross-functional teams to develop and deliver innovative process solutions.
Oversee project timelines, resources, and documentation to ensure successful process development execution.
Interpret and analyze process data, identify root causes of issues, and implement effective process improvements.
Maintain precise documentation of process designs, operating procedures, and project deliverables.
Required Experience:
Master’s degree (MSc) in Chemical Engineering or a closely related field with a minimum of 2 years of industrial experience, or a PhD with at least 1 year of industrial experience or 2 years of postdoctoral research.
Strong knowledge of process thermodynamics, reaction kinetics, hydrodynamics, and the dynamic behavior of unit operations.
Proficient in process simulation software such as Aspen Plus (or equivalent).
Proven experience in process optimization, troubleshooting, and project management.
Solid understanding of safety, reliability, and environmental standards within chemical process engineering.
Preferred Experience:
PhD in Chemical or Process Engineering, ideally with hands-on experience in process design, optimization, or plant operations.
Experience with automation systems and process control technologies.
Knowledge of technology transfer and scale-up from laboratory to industrial environments.
Demonstrated involvement in sustainability projects and experience working in multidisciplinary teams.
