Summary:

An International Independent Power Producer, responsible for the development, construction, financing, and operations of solar and wind energy plants are seeking a PPA Originator for their Northern European operations. As PPA Originator, you will be responsible for originating, structuring and closing PPAs with a variety of corporate clients internationally.

Your responsibilities:

As PPA Originator you will be responsible for the following:

• Market development, origination and structuring of PPAs for a Northern European portfolio of developed and acquired renewable energy projects.
• Development, negotiation and closing of PPAs with Corporate, Utilities, Traders, Communities, Commercial and Industrial customers
• Maintain a particular emphasis on commercial aspects and on the bankability of the PPA and of offtakers.

• Develop and maintain internal relations with the internal business development and M&A, finance, energy management and legal departments
• Develop and maintain internal relations with C&I clients, corporate buyers, utilities, traders, communities, aggregators and regulators

Skills, qualifications and experience required from you:

• A specialisation in one or more of the following: energy markets (with special focus on renewables), risk management and commodities trading, financial modelling, PPAs, consulting, corporate energy buyer’s exposure
• Degree in Engineering or Economics (or similar)

• Years of experience: 5 years
• Fluent in English (other languages desirable)
• Well acquainted with the most common IT tools and platforms for the trade of energy
• Outstanding relational skills at all organizational levels (especially the decisional ones) and with external clients.
• Very strong commercial mindset. Solid track record in terms of deal negotiated and executed
• Industry/ Sector experience: Renewable energy, energy trading, energy management
• BD/Energy Management/Energy or Commodities Trading/Energy or Commodities Sale
• Deep knowledge of the European energy market and players. Familiarity with PPAs (Power a purchase Agreements) and GOs (Guarantees of Origin)
