Job description
In this role you will lead one or more large-scale offshore wind projects through the development phase through to engineering, procurement, and construction handover for final investment decision.
Key responsibilities:
Take charge of the end-to-end consenting process to develop, construct and operate offshore wind assets, closely cooperating with other teams within the business such as the EPC team.
You will advance the development of the project, including consenting, technical solutions such as grid connection, and supporting bid/offtake and business case needs.
You will lead on defining and managing the overall development budget, project scope, and time schedule while ensuring all project risks are assessed, managed, and mitigated.
Leading a multi-disciplinary team tasked with development, consenting, technical, and procurement activities for one or more large-scale offshore wind projects.
You will be expected to ensure the timely application of all required consents, permits and leases
Leading on the EIA process and other application processes for offshore wind farm projects
Leading on DEVEX, CAPEX and OPEX inputs in relation to consents and leases
Key qualifications required for this role:
Master’s degree in science, engineering, business or similar
+8 years’ experience in the offshore wind or similar industry
Fluency in English
Project development experience with offshore wind farms ideally
A solid understanding of offshore wind farm requirements and environmental sensitivities (offshore, onshore and grid interface)
Experience working with regulators and interfacing with authorities at different levels, especially within Europe
Strong permitting/ consenting experience
Excellent communication and personal skills
Strong stakeholder management skills
