Job title: Offshore Permitting Manager

Location: New York, United States (On-site)

TGRC is looking for an Offshore Permitting Manager, you will play a crucial role in advancing their Attentive Energy One project by overseeing all state permitting efforts. Reporting directly to the Vice President of Environmental Management, you will be responsible for developing and executing permitting strategies, coordinating with regulatory agencies, and ensuring compliance with all state permits. Your expertise will be instrumental in driving our renewable energy initiatives forward and navigating the complex regulatory landscape.

Essential Job Functions:

  • Develop and execute permitting strategies to secure necessary state approvals promptly.

  • Coordinate with cross-functional teams to ensure regulatory compliance and timely submission of technical deliverables.

  • Direct the preparation of technical documents and impact assessments, including permit applications and environmental reports.

  • Interface with regulatory agencies, participate in public meetings and negotiate permit conditions.

  • Oversee field surveys and ensure compliance with permit requirements.

  • Manage partner interfaces and maintain strong relationships with stakeholders.

  • Provide oversight of survey and construction-phase permit compliance.

  • Effectively manage external resources and team members in a matrix organization.

Skill Requirements:

  • Experience managing permit applications for energy projects, preferably with offshore experience.

  • Strong leadership and coordination skills.

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

  • Analytical mindset and problem-solving abilities.

  • Integrity, ethics, and professionalism in all interactions.

Required Education and Experience:

  • 8-10 years of experience in permitting energy projects.

  • Bachelor's or graduate degree in environmental science, policy, engineering, or related field.

  • Experience with permitting processes in New York and New Jersey.

  • Federal permitting experience preferred.
