Offshore Geotechnical Engineer | Offshore Wind | Boston, MA
TGRC is seeking a qualified Offshore Geotechnical Engineer to join our dedicated team in Boston, MA. This role involves pivotal support for a wide array of renewable energy and infrastructure projects, with a focus on offshore development.

Job Description
The Offshore Geotechnical Engineer will play an essential role in our project teams, focusing on the unique challenges presented by offshore environments. Your responsibilities will include:
Subsurface Investigation: Conduct detailed offshore investigations, including drilling and sampling, to collect data on seabed, soil, and rock properties.
Geotechnical Analysis: Analyze collected geological data to determine physical properties, assess risks, and provide recommendations for foundation design and construction methods.
Engineering Design Support: Assist in the design of offshore structures such as wind farms, oil platforms, and other related infrastructure, ensuring that they are safe, sustainable, and optimized for the marine environment.
Risk Management: Evaluate and manage geotechnical risks associated with offshore projects, developing strategies to mitigate potential issues related to soil and rock mechanics.
Project Coordination: Collaborate with multi-disciplinary teams including marine biologists, environmental scientists, and structural engineers to integrate geotechnical findings with overall project planning.
Documentation and Reporting: Generate comprehensive reports and documentation to support project development, compliance, and implementation processes.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Civil Engineering, Geotechnical Engineering, or a closely related field.
Proven experience in geotechnical engineering, particularly in offshore settings related to renewable energy or large-scale infrastructure projects.
Strong proficiency in geotechnical engineering software and tools.
Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to adapt to dynamic project requirements.
Effective communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to produce detailed technical reports.
Authorized to work in the United States.
