Business Overview
Our client is a specialist alternative asset manager providing funds, direct investments, and tailored investment solutions, including co-investment across a range of highly differentiated alternative investment strategies.
Role objective
The O&M division supports the New Energy Team, which is on the shift from a world powered by finite resources to a new energy world powered by renewables while generating sustainable long term returns.
Investments are focused on four transformative technologies: solar, wind, energy storage and electric transportation.
This is a critical operational role that will provide first-hand experience of the rapid and extensive changes occurring in the UK energy market. There is excellent scope for personal and professional development in this evolving environment and within the specialist alternative asset management environment within our clients O&M division.
Job Description
To help the O&M team to achieve high HSQE standards across our portfolio, working closely with HSE Manager.
Deliver all the Preventative Maintenance and Reactive Maintenance on the allocated portfolio.
To help other teams when required
Complete Site Inspections across the portfolio as required
Direct supervision of various works, including overseeing contractors as required
Provide support to the Asset Management team in multiple disciplines to ensure optimal performance of all assets.
Provide reports after each inspection on site
Use SCADA to monitor the health of the BESS assets under management
Understand failures and propose solutions to existing problems affecting availability.
Site visits, HSE inductions, and interactions with Technical Advisers.
Responsible for the total portfolio availability.
Supervise PAC / IAC & FAC processes
Skills & experience
Ideally, three to five years of experience in the renewable energy industry. (Solar and/orBESS)
Qualified HV AP or SAP (33kV)
The ability to manage a portfolio of assets under minimum supervision.
Experience with BESS systems is desirable but not essential.
