Introduction
TGRC is proud to partner with a leading renewable energy developer in their search for an experienced Operations & Maintenance (O&M) Manager to join their growing team in Taiwan. This is a critical appointment at the intersection of technical operations and commercial performance, offering the opportunity to shape the success of some of the region’s most strategic wind energy assets.
As Taiwan strengthens its position as a hub for offshore and onshore wind investment, the O&M Manager will play a vital role in ensuring reliability, safety, and efficiency across a portfolio of operational assets.
The Role
The O&M Manager will be responsible for the full operations and maintenance lifecycle of wind projects in Taiwan, overseeing site teams, managing service contracts, and ensuring compliance with technical and regulatory standards. The role requires a hands-on leader with a strong technical background and the ability to operate at both strategic and site levels.
This position offers a unique opportunity to take ownership of high-value renewable assets in a fast-evolving energy market, reporting directly to senior leadership and working in close collaboration with engineering, HSE, and commercial teams.
Key Responsibilities
Operational Leadership
Manage day-to-day operations of wind farms to ensure optimal asset performance and availability.
Oversee and coordinate planned and unplanned maintenance activities, ensuring minimum downtime and adherence to safety protocols.
Implement operational KPIs and reporting frameworks to monitor asset health and performance.
Contractor & Stakeholder Management
Supervise O&M contractors and service providers, ensuring compliance with contractual obligations and technical specifications.
Interface with OEMs, grid operators, local authorities, and internal stakeholders to ensure coordinated and efficient operations.
Technical Oversight
Conduct root cause analyses of performance issues and implement corrective actions.
Ensure all work is carried out in line with regulatory requirements, manufacturer guidelines, and best industry practices.
Lead inspections, audits, and technical reviews of asset conditions.
Budgeting & Planning
Support annual budgeting for O&M activities, including forecasting of operational expenditures and spare parts.
Manage inventory, warranties, and procurement of equipment and services.
HSE & Compliance
Promote a strong health, safety, and environmental (HSE) culture across all O&M activities.
Ensure compliance with local and international HSE standards and company policies.
Lead incident investigations and preventive safety planning.
Candidate Profile
We are seeking a technically proficient and operationally focused individual with a strong track record in wind energy O&M.
Essential Requirements
Minimum 5 years of experience in operations and maintenance of wind energy projects.
In-depth knowledge of turbine technologies, SCADA systems, and condition monitoring tools.
Experience managing third-party service providers and supervising on-site operations.
Strong understanding of HSE best practices and regulatory compliance within Taiwan or similar jurisdictions.
Degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Renewable Energy, or a related technical discipline.
Professional fluency in Mandarin and English.
Preferred Attributes
Previous experience in the Taiwan wind energy market or similar offshore/onshore wind environments in Asia.
Familiarity with asset management software and remote monitoring systems.
Proactive, solution-oriented mindset with strong leadership and communication skills.
