​My client is a well-established renewable energy company with over two decades of industry experience. They’re known for their open, collaborative culture and are now looking to expand their German project development team.

The Role

As a Project Developer, you’ll take full responsibility for the lifecycle of wind energy projects from early-stage development through to construction readiness.

You’ll focus on advancing existing project opportunities and ensuring all key approvals and agreements are in place.

Your main tasks will include:
  • Managing project timelines and coordinating all necessary permitting processes

  • Building and maintaining relationships with landowners, tenants, local authorities, and other stakeholders

  • Leading negotiations and concluding contracts with property owners and municipalities

  • Representing the company in discussions with political and administrative decision-makers

  • Collaborating closely with internal teams in legal, communications, and engineering to prepare documentation for permitting

  • Overseeing external consultants and service providers involved in the development process

Your Profile

We’re looking for someone with a combination of technical, commercial, or environmental expertise and a genuine interest in renewable energy.

You should bring:

  • A degree or completed training in a relevant field such as Energy Technology, Business Administration, Industrial Engineering, Urban or Regional Planning, or Agriculture

  • At least 2–3 years of professional experience in wind project development within Germany

  • Strong communication and negotiation skills, with the ability to adapt to different stakeholders

  • Ideally, experience with tools such as windPRO or similar planning software

  • Fluency in German (C1+) and strong written communication skills

  • Competence with MS Office and basic project management tools

  • A structured and analytical way of working, combined with team spirit and initiative

  • A valid driving licence and willingness to travel to project sites as needed
