Job description
The Green Recruitment Company has partnered with one of our key clients, a developer of large-scale battery energy storage systems, to support their search for a Director of M&A to join their highly skilled team.
The Director of M&A will be responsible for the execution of M&A transactions and investment activities in the firm. The person will work in a cross-functional environment with various internal and external stakeholders to screen, analyze, evaluate, diligence and execute a variety of transactions including greenfield investments, project and platform level acquisitions, capital raises (tax equity and leverage) and strategic initiatives.
Responsibilities:
Lead all stages of the M&A process, including financial modeling, due diligence, and finalization, as well as integration tasks.
Collaborate with diverse advisors, coordinate internal teams, and lead diligence meetings.
Draft investment committee memos and presentations to facilitate discussions with senior management, the investment committee, and board members.
Evaluate and assist in crafting bidding strategies for Power Purchase Agreements (PPAs), Build Transfer Agreements (BTAs), and Development Asset Sales.
Undertake additional responsibilities pertinent to the nature of this role.
Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in finance (or a related field) is necessary.
An MBA or master’s degree in finance or a related discipline is preferred.
8 - 12 years of experience in M&A, corporate finance, and investment analysis within a transaction-oriented environment.
Previous experience in the renewable energy sector is essential.
Familiarity with Tax Equity financing is highly preferred.
