Job description
The Role
Manage and develop a portfolio of client accounts to build long term profitable relationships
Cooperate and work closely with internal teams to manage income generating opportunities and solve problems
Know your client portfolio and be able to talk to the management team about the current status of their supply arrangements and income potential
Formulate a plan to increase revenue from within your client portfolio
Maintain CECIL (our client database) with accurate and up to date information about your portfolio – site lists, site names, client contact details, supply contract ends dates, etc.
Manage client expectation and attend meetings to meet the needs of the business and develop your portfolio
Provide clients with bespoke reports, benchmarking analysis and ad-hoc tasks to meet the needs of your client portfolio
Keep up to date with market activity and ensure that clients are informed of any changes that may impact on their utility expenditure
Attend supplier meetings and conferences to meet the needs of the business
The Individual
Demonstrate sufficient knowledge of supplier products and have good negotiation skills in order to seek the best commercial opportunities
Have the confidence to take on demanding work and stay calm under pressure
Be concerned with deadlines and push to ensure completion on time
Have a critical thinking approach to dealing with problems, always remaining calm and rational
Be able to pick up information quickly and learn new tasks rapidly.
A good understanding of the UK Energy Markets and the Industry generally
Good analytical skills
Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
An ability to identify problems and resolve them swiftly
