Their portfolio includes over 20 GW of utility-scale renewable projects in various stages of development and construction. The leadership team brings over 100 years of combined experience in power markets, offtake structuring, engineering, and real estate, with a proven track record of bringing 9+ GW of projects to market.

About the Role

The Manager, Project Finance will be a key contributor to all aspects of the project finance function. This role primarily focuses on evaluating and executing financing strategies for utility-scale solar and battery storage projects, including projects in development, new opportunities, and strategic acquisitions.

The Manager will lead complex financial modeling, coordinate due diligence efforts, structure financing (debt and tax equity), manage asset sales, and collaborate closely with external stakeholders to support successful transaction closings.

This role reports to a Senior Manager, Project Finance and is part of a team of professionals focused on project finance and M&A. We are looking for someone with a solid foundation in renewable energy project finance, advanced financial modeling capabilities, and experience with debt and tax credit financing structures.

Responsibilities
  • Develop and manage detailed financial models to analyze project and partnership economics, and communicate findings to senior management

  • Create marketing materials (e.g., teasers, CIMs) for stakeholders and financing processes

  • Manage the selection of financing partners and lead the full lifecycle of financing transactions, including due diligence, documentation, and closing

  • Analyze third-party reports and project documents (e.g., PPAs, EPCs, GIAs, supply and O&M contracts) to ensure accurate financial assumptions

  • Provide input to internal departments (e.g., Development, Engineering, Procurement) on financing implications of key project variables

  • Mentor junior team members and support their development

  • Build and maintain effective relationships with internal and external stakeholders

Qualifications
  • 5+ years of experience in renewable energy project finance, corporate finance, or investment banking

  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint, including complex financial modeling and understanding of macros/VBA

  • Strong understanding of solar and storage project economics, as well as U.S. renewable energy tax incentives

  • Familiarity with tax credit monetization structures (e.g., partnership flips, credit transfers, hybrid models) and debt financing for construction-to-term projects

  • Experience in creating marketing materials and managing virtual data rooms

  • Ability to thrive in a deadline-driven, high-performance team environment

  • Strong analytical, critical thinking, and communication skills
