Job description

​The Green Recruitment Company is working with a fast-growing financier, developer, and manager of community solar projects across the US to find a Manager of Project Finance to support their rapidly growing business.

This is a remote role based on the East Coast (preference for New York, NY or Charlottesville, VA) and will support strategic investment decisions that will influence the company’s operations and current/future projects.

Responsibilities:

  • Actively participate as experienced member of investment and finance team in due diligence and deal structuring, negotiation, and closing activities in support of the Company’s future growth.

  • Lead and support project finance and M&A transactions, including initiating and responding to due diligence activities and interfacing with investors, business parties, and other counterparties

  • Mentor and train junior colleagues relating to project-finance modeling and transactions.

  • Work with development, engineering, and operations teams daily to support company’s projects and operations.

  • Contribute to the successful advancement of project development efforts by providing insight and guidance to the Development team about which inputs drive their projects’ financial performance

  • Participate in project budgeting and corporate reporting activities

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Business, Economics, Mathematics or a related field

  • 5+ years of professional experience with project finance models in investment banking and/or the renewable energy industry

  • Tax equity experience REQUIRED for this position

  • Ability to work cross functionally with teams outside of Finance & Investments required

  • Minimum of 3 years’ experience working in the renewable energy sector

  • High proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint

  • Current authorization to live and work in the U.S.
