Job title: Manager of Portfolio Management

Location: United States (Remote)

The Green Recruitment Company has partnered with one of our key clients, a leading developer of utility-scale battery storage projects across the US, to find a Manager of Portfolio Management to join the team. The Manager will be responsible for leading the compliance team and managing investor relations with lenders and tax equity providers, as well as managing project finance and transaction obligations.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Oversee all aspects of Project Financing and Tax Equity transactions for battery storage projects.

  • Assess project financial documents, compile financing summaries, and adhere to reporting requirements.

  • Ensure uniformity, quality assurance, and implementation of best practices for portfolio compliance management.

  • Manage payments and distributions in line with tax equity and debt transactions, encompassing project distributions, loan repayments, interest, and associated calculations.

  • Collaborate with Treasury and Accounting teams to accurately calculate and remit all fees as per project finance and tax equity agreements.

  • Liaise closely with the Legal department to secure alignment and comprehension of all compliance obligations.

  • Conduct scenario analyses to gauge the impact of operational and financial variables on portfolio performance.

  • Serve as the primary point of contact for tax equity investors/lenders.

Skills and Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in finance; MBA or CFA highly preferred.

  • 7-10 years of experience in project finance, tax equity, loan compliance, and/or portfolio management.

  • Proficient in managing compliance obligations about project financing and tax equity transactions.

  • Strong preference for experience in renewable energy and/or energy storage.

  • Comprehensive understanding of project financing, ideally with tax equity expertise, including familiarity with relevant tax and GAAP regulations, contractual matters, and analytical models.
