My client is a Global Renewable Energy Developer and they're looking to hire an APAC Legal Counsel, based in Singapore. This is a fantastic new opportunity and this individual with play a crucial role in helping them realise their growth across the Region and build on their success so far.

Responsibilities

• Analyse complex legal issues in connection with renewable energy project development, project financing, M&A, joint development arrangements, dispute resolution and corporate governance.
• Managing and overseeing the legal, compliance and governance risks relating to company matters and business in the APAC region
• Ensuring that all legal entities in the APAC region and the business is in compliance with all the company policies and laws in each jurisdiction
• General legal support regarding large-scale international projects
• Provide legal, regulatory advice and company corporate secretarial support from the shareholder’s perspective for all legal entities in the APAC region

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of relevant professional experience in the similar legal capacity (preferably corporate practice and in-house experience), in conjunction with large-scale projects (preferably energy) in cross-border scenarios in Southeast Asia
• Corporate commercial background preferred
• Excellent in negotiation, drafting, analytical, and communication skills
• Experience with land lease and land purchase transactions
• Experience in the renewables sector preferred
