The Green Recruitment Company has partnered with an AM Law Global 100 law firm in their search for an experienced Associate to join their office in Washington, D.C, Los Angeles, CA, or Chicago, IL.

With experience in solar, wind, hydroelectric, transmissions grid, and oil and gas, they have played a huge part in some of the largest energy projects. As an Associate, you will be working on tax equity, debt, and development transactions focused in the alternative and renewable energy space.

Candidates should possess a strong academic background, superior drafting and negotiation skills, the ability to take on significant project responsibility and manage a challenging workload within a collaborative and fast-paced environment. Candidates should also be diligent, detail-oriented, proactive, supportive, and team-oriented.

Responsibilities:

• Working closely with clients to manage and close their renewable and alternative energy projects.

• Performing diligence and providing guidance regarding financial and transactional documents.

• Identifying transactional risks for clients.

• Leading the negotiation, drafting, and critical review of equity and financing agreements.

• Assisting with all development aspects associated with the financial close process (both debt and tax equity).

Requirements:

• Must be admitted or be eligible for admission to the D.C., CA, IL Bar.

• 2 or more years of transactional experience.

• Renewable deal experience required.

• Excellent communication skills, written and verbal, with the ability to clearly communicate to all levels of management.

• Detail-oriented and able to work in a fast-paced environment.

• Ability to work, and deliver acceptable commercial and legal results, under strict deadlines.
