Job description
Key responsibilities:
Providing technical input and recommendations on procurement strategy.
Identify suitable staging and laydown areas, port facilities, logistics hubs, etc.
Identifying and establishing efficient and effective supply chains.
Developing and identifying a suitable O&M strategy
Establish and run a competitive tender process based on the agreed O&M strategy.
Programme management of the relevant O&M contractors to identify and manage timing and interface issues.
Overall project management during the planning and development phase in the lead up to operations and maintenance.
Ensuring that Quality, Health and Safety Environmental requirements are met.
Support on the implementation and embedding of new governance.
Support on technical investigations, non-conformances, and other requests which are escalated.
Key Requirements:
Degree in relevant engineering discipline (civil, structural, mechanical, electrical etc.). CEng status is highly desirable.
Membership of a relevant offshore / marine engineering professional body is desirable
Highly experienced and knowledgeable engineer, with at least 5/10 years in offshore / marine engineering sector.
Strong experience within operations and maintenance of offshore assets
Experience of managing risks and challenges in the renewable energy offshore wind sector is highly desirable, particularly with knowledge in the design and O&M of offshore wind farms.
This role can be office based or remote, with expectations to travel as and when needed
