Job description

​TGRC has partnered with a sustainability focuses, fast-growing investment fund management group specializing in Clean Energy. Their goal is to create financial value by making investments in the actual economy while fostering favorable social and environmental impacts.

As a professional, the successful candidate will manage a wide variety of stakeholders including developers, original equipment manufacturers, regulators and financing institutions, EPC and O&M contractors, engineering services supplier, asset management etc. as well as ensuring the oversight and the success of IPP projects (mainly solar and upcoming BESS) and ensure they are delivered on time and on budge. This includes coordination with internal team, and coordination of external resource, deliverable review and acceptance, budget and time adherence, internal reporting on projects in its various phases of development, construction and operation

You will be responsible for:

Development Phase:

  • Supporting on large scale solar project pipeline developments;

  • Monitoring co-development projects and technical supplier management;

  • Providing engineering input from initial assessment through to technical and economic feasibility and due diligence;

  • Preparing technical and non technical reports to a high standard including technical specifications, due diligence results, capex and opex estimation, contracts details, performance and production forecast;

  • Actively assisting business development department, financial controller and load management regarding projects forecast;

Construction Phase:

  • Providing technical tender support and procurement management of each project;

  • Monitoring the pre-construction authority permits (secondary authorization);

  • Reviewing technical specification and design drawings provided from supplier;

  • Management of professional figures (Works Director, H&S Coordinators…)

  • Actively assisting business development department, financial controller and load management regarding projects status update, budget monitoring and monthly forecast;

  • Monitoring of Technical Adviser during pre-construction, construction and acceptance phase;

  • Attending site visits as required;

  • Working effectively on several projects concurrently to deliver to tight deadlines;

Operation Phase:

  • Monitoring the Asset Management activities;

  • Review the Asset Management Report, and concurrently to deliver reports to tight deadlines;

  • Actively assisting business development department, financial controller and load management regarding projects status, budget monitoring and monthly forecast;

  • Supporting the Asse Management in extraordinary corrective project;

  • Attending site visits as required;

The Individual:

  • Degree level qualifications in engineering or similar technical subject

  • Relevant experience of project management of solar projects, either as developer, construction manager, asset manager and consultant.

  • Excellent IT skills (MS Excel/Word/Project and PowerPoint)

  • Relevant experience with working within a multi-disciplinary environment, technical and financial.

  • Ability to influence and motivate stakeholders within a complex environment.

  • Able to collect, analyze and act upon complex and diverse information from a variety of sources and give advice for project level decision making.

Desirable Skills:

  • Experience in investment fund environment;

  • Experience in BESS projects;

  • Ability to work in a second language;

  • Recognized Project Management training;
