A global corporation in the Energy sector is looking for an Investment Analyst. The role will be based in Sydney and you will report to the Manager of the company

Responsibilities include:

• Manage/support the project finance activities including but may not be limited to:
• Project management of the Due Diligence process
• Liaise with advisors and lenders
• Review and ensure bankability of overall project structure and all related contracts
• Lead the negotiation process with lenders on term sheet and financing documents
• Manage/support investment and divestment activities including but may not be limited to:
• Origination process: actively look for project opportunities (primarily renewables such as solar, wind, battery or Hydrogen etc.) or partners as required
• Deal structuring, negotiation and transaction support
• Actively participate in the management of existing renewable assets by providing commercial and financial advice to facilitate decision making
• Closely work with the project team, provide financial and commercial analysis as required
• Preparation of documents and presentations relating to the activities above and obtain internal approvals
• Manage financial models: ensure all assumptions are accurate and up-to-date, able to build new models or improve existing models as required.
• Conduct market research on topics required to feed into overall company strategy

Qualification, Skills & Experience:

• Excellent financial modelling skills. Understanding of and ability to build/improve project finance model essential
• Experience in renewable energy financing and development
• Demonstrated experience in due diligence of renewable energy or infrastructure assets
• Two to five years’ experience in investment banking, big-4 professional services infrastructure/modelling team, in-house corporate or commercial advisory roles
• Ability to manage competing priorities and work in a dynamic environment
