Summary: 

A leading international renewable energy developer with an impressive project portfolio in Australia are seeking an Investment Analyst to join their team in Central Sydney. Your main duty will be to conduct financial modelling and commercial review to support the company’s renewable energy (wind and solar) development pipeline. 

You will have a minimum 12 month’s project finance experience, combined with a keen interest in the renewable energy sector. This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced financial modeller to join a well-respected outfit and build on key financial modelling skills in an exciting role with good opportunities for career progression. 

 

Your Responsibilities:

As Investment Analyst you will be required to perform the following duties:

·        Undertake financial modelling to support project feasibility and project financing

·        Interpret and communicate outputs of financial models

·        Implement the financial modelling process and the investment framework

·        Support on transactions surrounding debt and equity capital raising

·                  Implement and maintain project feasibility and project financing models

·                  Prepare financial analysis to inform investment decisions

·                  Benchmark models against other projects in the company pipeline

·                  Conduct scenario and sensitivity analysis

·                  Conduct risk assessment

·                  Manage model review

·                  Enable transaction due diligence

·                  Prepare financial analysis of business cases for investment approval

·                  Prepare business presentations

·                  Oversee external financial modelling carried out by financial advisors

 

 

Qualifications, Experience & Skills Required:

 ·        Qualifications in a relevant discipline eg Economics, Commerce, Law and/or Applied Finance.

·        Experience in project finance

·        Financial modelling experience

·        A keen interest in the renewable energy sector

·        Excellent analytical skills, project finance modelling essential 

·        Ability to work autonomously with minimal supervision 

·        Strong communication skills

·        Well organised, self-starter

·        Advanced Microsoft Office skills

·        Eligibility to live and work in Australia
