HVDC Project Engineer
Location: Glasgow, Scotland
Job Type: Full-time
Experience: Minimum of 5 years in HVDC projects
Job Description:
We are currently seeking an experienced HVDC Project Engineer to join our team in Glasgow, Scotland. As an HVDC Project Engineer, you will be responsible for leading the design and delivery of HVDC projects from inception to completion.
Responsibilities:
Lead the design and development of HVDC projects, including system configuration, equipment selection, and specification development
Manage and coordinate project activities, including project planning, budgeting, scheduling, and reporting
Collaborate with project stakeholders, including customers, contractors, and suppliers, to ensure successful project delivery
Conduct technical analysis and develop solutions to meet project requirements and objectives
Ensure compliance with project specifications, standards, and regulations
Provide technical support and guidance to project team members, including designers, engineers, and technicians
Identify and manage project risks and opportunities
Communicate project status and progress to internal and external stakeholders
Requirements:
Minimum of 5 years of experience in HVDC projects, including design, development, and delivery
Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering or a related field
Strong technical knowledge of HVDC systems and equipment, including converters, transformers, and control systems
Demonstrated ability to lead and manage project teams
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Knowledge of relevant standards and regulations, including IEC, IEEE, and CIGRE
Ability to work independently and in a team environment
Willingness to travel as required
