Job description

​As an HVDC Designer, you will be responsible for designing and developing High Voltage Direct Current (HVDC) systems for various projects. Your primary duties will include creating detailed design plans, conducting feasibility studies, and collaborating with engineers and project managers to ensure the successful implementation of HVDC systems.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Designing HVDC systems based on project requirements and specifications.
2. Conducting feasibility studies to assess the technical and economic viability of HVDC projects.
3. Collaborating with engineers and project managers to ensure the successful implementation of HVDC systems.
4. Developing detailed design plans, including schematics, layouts, and technical specifications.
5. Performing simulations and analyses to optimize the performance of HVDC systems.
6. Ensuring compliance with industry standards and regulations in all design activities.
7. Providing technical support and guidance to project teams throughout the design and implementation process.
8. Participating in design reviews and making recommendations for improvements.
9. Keeping abreast of the latest developments in HVDC technology and incorporating innovative solutions into design projects.
10. Contributing to the continuous improvement of design processes and methodologies within the organization.

Qualifications:

1. Bachelor's degree or Associate's degree
2. Proven experience in designing HVDC systems, preferably in a professional setting.
3. Strong knowledge of HVDC technology, including converters, control systems, and protection schemes.
4. Proficiency in design software tools such as Revit, Inventor, and AutoCAD.
