High Voltage Authorised Person

Lowestoft, England, United Kingdom (On-site)

As an HV Technician (Authorised person), you will join my clients’ asset management team, ensuring the highest standards of Health, Safety, and Environmental (HSE) compliance while contributing to the success and rapid growth of our company. This position offers an exceptional opportunity for ambitious and technically capable engineers to develop their skills through operational management and project delivery, working with significant electrical power assets at the forefront of the UK’s decarbonisation efforts.

Responsibilities:

  • Ensure Health, Safety & Environmental compliance during all site activities.

  • Supervise contractors and sub-contractors during site operations.

  • Maintain a thorough understanding of the company’s Electrical Safety Rules.

  • Conduct planned and unplanned inspections of offshore and onshore assets.

  • Support the development of the company’s asset and maintenance policy.

  • Perform HV Switching as an Authorised Person.

  • Carry out minor fault finding and electrical installation work.

  • Assist in the development of contingency plans.

  • Provide weekly and monthly reports to the supervisor.

Your Profile:

  • Minimum of 5 years of industry experience, ideally in the UK electricity supply industry/offshore wind industry.

  • Good understanding of health and safety legislation and its implications for personal responsibilities.

  • Experience working with high-voltage electrical system components, plant, and equipment.

  • Experience in supervising contractors and sub-contractors.
