​Head of Solar Project Management

Location: Remote/Hybrid

Salary: DOE

One of TGRC’s industry leading clients are looking for a Head of Solar Project Management to join their team. They are looking for an individual who can supervise and manage multiple solar projects simultaneously across multiple locations in the UK, while working on other projects that are in the pre-sales stage.

You will report to the Operations Director and work closely with the Solar Sales Director. The main responsibility will be managing a Solar Project Manager with the opportunity to expand your team as growth allows.

Responsibilities:

• Manage and direct project management activities, act as liaison between client, stakeholders, EPC contractors, OEM suppliers and legals during the execution phase of a project.

• Responsible for executing solar PV projects while maintaining budget and schedule.

• Responsible for the coordination during execution phase and close out of projects.

• Deliver positive results and assume accountability for delivering projects on an approved schedule and on budget to maintain value and protect profitability.

• This position will also have dotted lines into projects at pre-sales stage too.

Requirements:

• Experience in successfully leading projects and programs to on-time, on-schedule and within budget.

• 5 to 10 years of commercial solar installation experience or equivalent.

• Demonstrated success in managing and growing a Solar Project Management team in previous roles.

• Proven success managing EPC contractors and developing and executing innovative project changes.

• Demonstrated commercial ability, demonstrating you understand and interpret solar contract forms (PPA, Operating Lease, JCT & CAPEX).

• Successfully led and managed complex solar installations valued at £2m and above.

• Experience leading, motivating, and managing various project and program team sizes, including internal and external resources, while holding team accountable for performance.

• Experience presenting to Senior Leadership.
