Job description
The Green Recruitment Company is delighted to be working with a fantastic Cleantech company, who partner with leading renewable energy companies to deliver on the energy transition.
They seek a new Head of Sales to refine and deliver their commercial strategy and oversee the execution and resourcing of their business development efforts with particular focus on the offshore wind market.
The ideal candidate will be a self-starter and reliable, with excellent communication skills. They will also be personable and driven, and a competent negotiator. They will have experience planning & leading strategic initiatives and will be motivated to contribute to the global transition to a sustainable energy system.
The Role:
You will report directly to the CEO, and work closely alongside the internal marketing team and other team members who support business development activities.
Responsibilities Include:
Develop and implement a commercial strategy to build profitable and sustainable partnerships with operators of offshore wind farms. Working with both existing clients, as well as generating new business & targeting key players in emerging markets such as Taiwan, Japan and USA.
Ensure the company has the right tools and metrics in place to manage and track progress
Plan and deliver other strategic projects/initiatives as they arise
Hands-on delivery of tasks across the full sales lifecycle including:
Identifying and pursuing client leads
Representing the business at conferences, trade shows and networking events
Delivering or facilitating client demos
Delivering or facilitating proposals, responses to RfQs/ITTs etc.
Skills & Qualifications:
Extensive experience in a SaaS B2B role or commercial marketplace
Experience & thorough knowledge of the renewable energy industry, in particular the offshore wind sector
Demonstrative experience of delivery company growth
Experience of accurate sales forecasting and effective pipeline management
Relevant experience or demonstrable knowledge of developing and implementing business development strategies
