​The Green Recruitment Company are delighted to be working with an innovative Renewable Energy Development start-up, who are rapidly expanding.

They seek a new Head of Sales to join their experienced London team, and to contribute to their next phase of growth. This is an exciting opportunity for a ‘trailblazing’ individual to lead their sales team, and both convert their existing leads & continue to expand their pipeline

The ideal candidate will be entrepreneurial and ambitious, with excellent communication skills. They will be an approachable B2B salesperson with the ability to build strong relationships with major corporate at C-Suite level.

Responsibilities Include:

  • Leading execution of existing contracts with “Blue-Chip” Industrial & Commercial clients, as well as bringing in new business

  • Management of a Sales team (currently 3-4 direct reports)

  • Negotiating commercial aspects of high value legal contracts

  • Utilising their CRM tool to build on existing relationships & generate new opportunities

  • Working alongside the bid support team to identify prospect’s needs & make appropriate product/services suggestions

  • Report on team KPIs to Commercial Director, with weekly, monthly

Skills & Qualifications:

  • 10 years’ sales experience (exceeding KPIs)

  • 5 years min. experience in Renewable Energy sector (Solar/Wind/Storage)

  • Experience selling long-term PPAs (Power Purchase Agreements) or failing that, a strong understanding of PPAs including their structures & energy markets

  • Ability to lead & close deals including but not limited to contract negotiations & PPAs

  • Proficiency in CRM software (Hubspot ideally)

  • Full working proficiency in English is essential – with other languages beneficial
