Job description
TGRC is excited to have partnered with a leading renewable energy developer, headquartered in Asia, in search of a Head of Research, Renewables for their Singapore team.
Responsibilities:
Conduct comprehensive research to identify, evaluate, and innovate renewable energy technologies and systems tailored to the company's business and operational needs.
Perform modeling and simulations to analyze and enhance renewable energy systems, encompassing performance forecasts, resource assessments, and system integrations, such as large-scale solar PV, hydrogen, and BESS systems for renewable energy applications.
Design, coordinate, and execute experiments to validate renewable energy concepts, materials, and systems, ensuring thorough data collection, analysis, and interpretation.
Develop technical documents, research papers, and presentations to communicate research findings, methodologies, and conclusions to both internal and external stakeholders.
Lead consultations with local authorities and agencies, staying updated on regulatory requirements and standards related to renewable energy technologies to ensure compliance in research activities.
Seek and foster collaboration opportunities with other research institutions in line with the company's technical goals. Work closely with project stakeholders to meet research objectives and project milestones.
Expectations:
Prior experience in renewable energy research, development, or related fields is highly desirable. Familiarity with renewable market analysis, experiment design, data analysis, and simulation tools are advantageous.
Strong understanding of engineering principles, renewable energy technologies, and relevant software tools (e.g., MATLAB, HOMER).
Ability to conduct literature reviews and research under guidance.
Knowledge of and experience with local, regional, and global energy policies and regulations, particularly those related to clean energy.
Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to convey technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences.
Meticulous attention to detail and accuracy in experimental design, data collection, and analysis to ensure the reliability and validity of research results.
Strong team player with the ability to work collaboratively and manage relationships with clients and stakeholders.
