Head of Research, Green Hydrogen
Job description
TGRC is excited to have partnered with a leading renewable energy developer, headquartered in Asia, in search of a Head of Research, Hydrogen for their Singapore team.
Responsibilities:
- Lead or participate in research, development, demonstration, and deployment of innovative hydrogen production, transportation, and storage. 
- Assist in creating technical roadmaps and conducting technology assessments for the hydrogen industrial chain. 
- Serve as the project principal investigator (P.I.), ensuring project timelines and technical targets are met. 
- Conduct literature reviews to stay current with advancements in hydrogen technologies, materials, and processes. 
- Design, plan, and execute experiments to explore various hydrogen production, storage, and distribution. 
- Collect and analyze experimental data to derive insights and identify trends. 
- Utilize computational tools and modelling techniques to simulate hydrogen-related processes and systems. 
- Engage with stakeholders, including industry partners, government agencies, and academic institutions, to share knowledge and foster collaboration. 
- Identify technical challenges and opportunities for hydrogen production, storage, and utilization. 
- Propose and develop novel approaches, materials, or technologies to address key research questions and overcome obstacles. 
Expectations:
- Experience in green hydrogen research, renewable energy, electrochemistry, or related fields is highly desirable. Practical experience with laboratory techniques, instrumentation, and data analysis tools is advantageous. 
- Knowledge of hydrogen production methods, transportation, and storage technologies (e.g., compression, liquefaction, solid-state storage). 
- Demonstrated leadership in relevant research and development projects. 
- Industrial experience with deployment-based validation is a plus. 
- Ability to conduct literature reviews and research. 
- Proficiency in experiment design, data interpretation, and statistical analysis. 
- Familiarity with computational modelling and simulation software. 
- Strong analytical skills and the ability to independently solve problems. 
- Team player with the ability to work collaboratively and manage relationships with clients and stakeholders.
