Our Client, seeks a Head of Projects to manage the construction of utility-scale storage and solar projects and to provide technical due diligence support for new assets.

Responsibilities

• Management team with any construction, H&S or technical due diligence required on the existing assets.

• Leading on any new ground mounted or commercial rooftop solar and storage construction projects, ensuring all assigned projects and tasks are completed safely, and on time and within budget.

• Managing ACMs repowering/revamping strategy and supporting the Technical Asset Management team with any construction, H&S or technical due diligence required on the existing assets.

• Providing technical assistance and due diligence to the Investment team in the acquisition of new assets and ensuring the timely and accurate onboarding of these assets into ACMs investment groups.

• Developing, tendering, and negotiating technical contracts, including EPC and O&M contracts.

• Managing the post close obligations on all acquisitions and construction projects, including oversight of punch list items and repair processes.

• Undertaking site visits and audits, identifying any technical issues and operational risks related to performance, planning and HSE.

• Managing key relationships with the EPC contractor and with other key stakeholders (e.g. DNO, EPC, Landowner, Local Council).

• Establishing and/or refining systems and processes to improve commercial and technical oversight of projects and performance monitoring.

• Preparing regular technical reports for internal management, external clients, Lenders and the Board of Directors.

Qualifications:

• An electrical engineering degree or degree in a similar discipline

• More than 5 years’ experience in the renewable energy sector and more specifically in construction and/or EPC of large-scale ground mounted solar, BESS and commercial rooftop assets in the UK.

• Good knowledge of H&S regulations and technical standards.

• Clean Drivers licence
