Engineering Manager (design and delivery)

Based In Australia - Sydney (Preferred)

The Client

TGRC is excited to be partnering with our client, a leader in the transformation of PV projects, in the recruitment of a Head of Product Innovation to join their team in Sydney.

Our client has pioneered leading technology to simplify the development, construction, and operation of solar plants.

The ideal candidate will be an experienced manager with a strong leadership and solar engineering background who is able to successfully lead an already established team of top-performance engineers.

Main responsibilities:

• Lead a small high-performing team of technical strategists (engineers, innovators, solar solution specialists) to deliver an ever-expanding suite of application blueprints.

• Build and own technical justification and content to clearly communicate the value of the company's solution for a range of customer applications (ie. standard cost and performance models, technical sales content library, etc

• Partner with the Product Development team to prioritise applications, markets and required solution development pipeline).

• Develop unique IP to reinforce the company's competitive advantage as an integrated solar solution provider.

Required Skills:

• 5+ years of experience in solar design and engineering across a range of applications, including at utility scale.

• Leadership experience, ideally in the solar industry and technical settings

• Deep technical expertise and drive to develop the technical capability of your team and the broader organisation

• Innovate and build in an ambiguous environment.

• Cross-functional project management experience, and demonstrable skill in leadership through influence.
