Job description

I'm currently working with a leading renewable energy developer based in Milan that’s looking to hire a Head of Origination to lead the acquisition of land for large-scale renewable energy projects across Italy.

The company has been active in the Italian renewables market for over a decade, with operations spanning planning, development, construction, and operation of solar PV, wind, and BESS (battery storage) assets. With over 2.5GW in the pipeline and backing from top-tier European banks, they are scaling rapidly and investing heavily in long-term growth.

What’s on offer:

  • Strategic leadership role in land origination

  • €80k–€90k salary (based on experience)

  • 3-day hybrid working model in Milan

  • Opportunity to shape national origination strategy

  • Strong, well-capitalised platform with long-term vision

Key responsibilities:
  • Lead origination and acquisition of land for utility-scale renewable energy projects

  • Develop and manage relationships with landowners, brokers, and local stakeholders

  • Oversee internal origination team and external partners

  • Evaluate and prioritise high-potential areas based on grid access and permitting feasibility

  • Collaborate with development, legal, and technical teams to bring sites through early-stage milestones

  • Contribute to broader commercial and strategic decisions across the Italy pipeline

Ideal candidate:
  • Strong track record in land origination for renewables in Italy

  • Excellent network of land agents and brokers

  • Understanding of local regulations, land rights, and environmental considerations

  • Commercial mindset with strategic leadership capabilities

  • Fluency in Italian and solid command of English

If you're looking to take on a leadership role with real impact in Italy’s energy transition — and join a stable, well-funded developer — this could be the right move.
