Job title: Head of Origination

Location: Poland (Remote)

As the Head of Origination, you will be responsible for leading the origination and development of greenfield PV, wind and BESS projects across Poland. You will play a pivotal role in identifying, evaluating, and securing new project opportunities, as well as establishing and maintaining key relationships with stakeholders including landowners, government agencies, utilities, and local communities. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of the renewable energy market in Poland, excellent project management skills, and a proven track record of successfully developing renewable projects from inception to financial close.

Responsibilities:

• Lead the origination and development of greenfield solar PV, wind and BESS projects in Poland, from site identification and feasibility assessment to securing land rights and obtaining necessary permits and approvals.

• Conduct comprehensive market analysis and identify new project opportunities aligned with the company's strategic objectives.

• Build and maintain strong relationships with landowners, government agencies, utilities, regulators, and other relevant stakeholders to facilitate project development and navigate regulatory and permitting processes.

• Collaborate closely with internal teams including engineering, finance, legal, and operations to ensure the successful execution of project development activities.

• Develop and manage project budgets, timelines, and risk mitigation strategies to achieve project milestones and objectives.

• Lead negotiations with landowners, contractors, suppliers, and other third-party vendors to secure favourable terms and agreements.

• Stay informed about market trends, policy developments, and emerging technologies in the renewable energy sector to identify opportunities and risks.

• Represent the company at industry events, conferences, and meetings to enhance the company's visibility and network within the renewable energy community.

• Provide regular updates and reports to senior management on project status, milestones, and key performance indicators.

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in engineering, business, finance, or a related field. Advanced degree preferred.

• Minimum of 7 years of experience in renewable energy project development, with a focus on renewable projects.

• Proven track record of successfully originating, developing, and delivering renewable projects from inception to financial close.

• Deep understanding of the renewable energy market, regulatory environment, and permitting processes in Poland.

• Strong project management skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and deliver results on time and within budget.

• Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills with the ability to build and maintain effective relationships with internal and external stakeholders.

• Strategic thinker with the ability to identify opportunities, assess risks, and develop creative solutions to complex challenges.

• Highly organized and detail-oriented with a strong analytical mindset.

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite and project management software.

• Fluency in Polish and English is required, additional languages would be an advantage.
