Covering a range of engineering, renewable energy & net zero subject matters, the need now has arisen to further develop their sustainable fuels division, with a focus on Hydrogen.

The prospective Head of Hydrogen Consultancy will develop the business’ presence in the Hydrogen supply & value chain, supporting & developing, global hydrogen infrastructure & hydrogen economy, on behalf of their impressive, International Client base.

• Develop and execute a go to market Hydrogen Consulting Materials Science/testing plan in defined markets (UK, Germany, France, The Netherlands) that includes the prioritization of target industries, regions and audiences, and the development of an appropriate service plan in line with the development direction of key Hydrogen testing technologies within the marketplace in service of infrastructure needs.

• Membership and detailed understanding of relevant Hydrogen Materials Science groups and technical credibility and knowledge across key networks.

• Proactive, can-do attitude to grow our client’s presence in the Hydrogen Consulting and Testing Marketplace.

• Drive the strategic direction of Hydrogen Consultancy across the global business, as a market facing technical expert along all aspects of value chain

• Indirect management of a technical and commercial matrix Hydrogen organisation in relation to Hydrogen Consulting – requiring close collaboration with Hydrogen consultancy teams, business unit sales teams, business technical expertise, and close collaboration with the relevant laboratories to lead strategic direction from the knowledge of key market drivers.

• An understanding of the funding mechanisms across the emerging H2 market, and an ability to interface with relevant consortiums and parties to leverage the development of the market through relevant works.

• Lead, and coordinate the regular review, and updates for the sales team on the pipeline for the respective focus areas across Hydrogen Consulting Market, dovetailing into the wider testing market.

• Develop internal facilities for Hydrogen Testing Services aligned to the strategic direction of Hydrogen Consulting activities.

Requirements;

• Demonstrable, senior leadership experience within Hydrogen consulting or development.

• A PhD or equivalent, in a technical field relevant to Hydrogen.

• Consultancy and direct Industrial experience of project delivery and the part played by Hydrogen in relation to Net Zero and decarbonisation.
