Job description

​The Green Recruitment Company are working exclusively with a client who are the world’s largest and fastest growing energy and sustainability business providing the leading software and services proposition in the global marketplace. It’s a globally recognised sustainability front runner with a clear purpose and mission.

Within this business sits a smaller team which focuses on enabling faster decarbonisation through digital tools. It helps corporates and developers work better together to increase access to green energy on the grid and build bigger, greener projects for the future.

They are seeking a Head of Energy Decarbonisation to further strengthen their market position and be an expert in energy markets. This candidate will lead the energy markets team in building thought leadership content as well analysing data and understanding market trends in association with PPA’s.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Driving and managing the tendering pipeline for Power Purchase Agreements (PPAs), supporting the team to provide high quality service, building developer networks and managing term sheet negotiations.

  • A thought leader with a strong network in the energy and sustainability sector who presents at industry events as an expert advisor.

  • Working with our Customer Success, Analytics and Product team to enhance and streamline our digital offerings.

  • Identifying and security new digital opportunities.

 

Skills:

  • 7 to 10+ years in the European energy sector or similar with a focus on the low carbon transition.

  • Proven energy trading, power market and contracts expertise with an understanding of current and future decarbonisation and climate policy.

  • Technical knowledge of energy data and market pricing as well as experience in experience in project valuation, NPV or forecasting skills.

  • Strong leadership attributes with proven coaching abilities.

  • A background in innovative digital solutions in the energy sector is an advantage.

  • Knowledge of PPAs would be preferrable and you should have a background in consulting, finance, energy or equivalent.
