Role Overview:
The Head of Construction Assistant supports the Head of Construction in coordinating and overseeing construction activities across multiple sites and projects. This role plays a key part in planning, monitoring progress, managing documentation, and ensuring effective communication between project teams, site management, and subcontractors.
Key Responsibilities:
Support the Head of Construction in the delivery of multiple construction projects simultaneously.
Assist with construction planning, scheduling, and programme tracking.
Monitor site progress and prepare regular reports on timelines, milestones, and risks.
Coordinate communication between project managers, engineers, site teams, and subcontractors.
Track contractor and subcontractor performance against agreed deliverables.
Assist with managing interfaces between design, procurement, and construction teams.
Support cost tracking, variation management, and budget monitoring.
Ensure documentation, permits, and compliance records are maintained accurately.
Help identify potential risks or delays and escalate issues where required.
Attend project meetings and record actions, decisions, and follow-ups.
Key Requirements:
Experience in construction, engineering, or project coordination roles.
Strong understanding of construction processes and project lifecycle.
Excellent organisational and administrative skills.
Proficiency in project planning tools (e.g., MS Project, Primavera, or similar).
Strong communication and stakeholder coordination abilities.
Ability to manage multiple priorities and work under tight deadlines.
Relevant qualification in Construction Management, Engineering, or related field preferred.
