The Green Recruitment Company are working alongside a leading climate-tech platform enabling businesses to quickly, easily and cost-effectively source clean energy directly from wind and solar farms.

They use data and advanced analytics to perfectly match business’s objectives with a network of renewable energy projects across the UK and Europe; streamlining the power purchase agreement (PPA) process while providing market intelligence, data and financial information on each project.


The Role:

Responsible for planning, developing, and implementing our commercial strategies to meet the company’s objectives and business goals. The Head of Commercial will be responsible for maximising revenue-generating opportunities, profit growth and sustainable growth and play an integral part in determining and monitoring pricing models ensuring coordination with product development.



  • Track, measure and analyse commercial metrics & targets using KPIs / OKRs
  • Develop, plan, and implement commercial plans and strategies across the business
  • Always strive to accelerate and encourage company's growth and success
  • Perform market research and analyse threats and opportunities
  • Implement new customer acquisition strategies
  • Support the team with existing client relationships
  • Collaborate with, coordinate and train diverse teams such as Marketing, Business & Growth and Client Success 
  • Establish and manage long-term relationship with stakeholders
  • Monitor and review pipeline and existing customer base
  • Understand the requirements of existing customers and convey message to R&D
  • Manage and track expenditures, financial goals, and budgets


The Individual:

  • Strong commercial awareness
  • Experience in the Energy, Sustainability, PPA market
  • Excellent organisational skills and strategic thinking
  • 5 years’ experience in a Commercial Director role
  • Experience in Client Relationship Management 
  • In-depth knowledge of the energy market analysis and metrics
  • Hands on experience in creating reporting and managing budgets
  • Excellent organizational and time-management skills
  • Outstanding communication and presentation skills
  • Excellent interpersonal and leadership skills
  • MA in business, finance, or similar relevant field
