Group Financial Controller - Renewable Energy Fund
Location: London
Salary: Up to £130,000
We are looking for a highly experienced and skilled Group Financial Controller to join our client, a leading renewable energy fund based in London. The ideal candidate is someone who has a strong background in finance and accounting, with extensive experience in the renewable energy industry.
Responsibilities:
Oversee all financial reporting, accounting, and budgeting activities for the renewable energy fund
Develop and maintain financial policies, procedures, and internal controls to ensure compliance with accounting standards and regulatory requirements
Provide financial analysis and strategic guidance to senior management and investment teams
Lead the financial planning and budgeting process, and ensure timely and accurate reporting of financial results
Manage the day-to-day accounting and finance operations, including cash management, accounts payable, accounts receivable, and payroll
Develop and maintain strong relationships with external stakeholders, including auditors, tax advisors, and regulatory bodies
Requirements:
Bachelor's or Master's degree in finance, accounting, or related field
Minimum of 10 years of experience in finance and accounting, with at least 5 years in a leadership role
Extensive experience in the renewable energy industry, with a deep understanding of renewable energy finance and investment
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to develop and interpret complex financial models and reports
Excellent communication and leadership skills, with the ability to manage and motivate a team of finance professionals
Knowledge of accounting standards, financial reporting requirements, and regulatory frameworks for the renewable energy sector
Proficiency in accounting and financial software, including Excel, QuickBooks, and other financial management systems
