Group Financial Controller - Renewable Energy Fund

 

Location: London

Salary: Up to £130,000

 

We are looking for a highly experienced and skilled Group Financial Controller to join our client, a leading renewable energy fund based in London. The ideal candidate is someone who has a strong background in finance and accounting, with extensive experience in the renewable energy industry.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Oversee all financial reporting, accounting, and budgeting activities for the renewable energy fund

  • Develop and maintain financial policies, procedures, and internal controls to ensure compliance with accounting standards and regulatory requirements

  • Provide financial analysis and strategic guidance to senior management and investment teams

  • Lead the financial planning and budgeting process, and ensure timely and accurate reporting of financial results

  • Manage the day-to-day accounting and finance operations, including cash management, accounts payable, accounts receivable, and payroll

  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with external stakeholders, including auditors, tax advisors, and regulatory bodies

 

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in finance, accounting, or related field

  • Minimum of 10 years of experience in finance and accounting, with at least 5 years in a leadership role

  • Extensive experience in the renewable energy industry, with a deep understanding of renewable energy finance and investment

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to develop and interpret complex financial models and reports

  • Excellent communication and leadership skills, with the ability to manage and motivate a team of finance professionals

  • Knowledge of accounting standards, financial reporting requirements, and regulatory frameworks for the renewable energy sector

  • Proficiency in accounting and financial software, including Excel, QuickBooks, and other financial management systems
