​Job Title: Grid Operation & Commissioning Expert

Location: Tabuk Region (On-site)

My client is seeking a seasoned professional to join us as a Utility – Grid Operation & Commissioning Expert. The ideal candidate will serve as the overall commissioning expert, proficient in commissioning Utility-Scale Renewables Power Generation Plants (1 GW and above), in Wind, Solar PV, and Battery Energy Storage (BESS) integration into large Utility Grids.

TGRC is working with a client who is committed to leading the global transition towards sustainable energy solutions. They specialize in delivering projects for utility-scale wind Power Plants, Solar Power Plants, and Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS).

Key Responsibilities:

• Oversee Unit commissioning for Renewable Generation Assets, Grid Assets, and associated Control Centers.

• Ensure smooth integration into Utility and operation as a Large Micro Grid with connection to EHV Grid.

• Analyze scenarios and develop commissioning plans aligned with Utility Interconnection Protocols.

• Understand local Utility Grid Code requirements and develop commissioning plans accordingly.

• Coordinate with internal teams, clients, and consultants to ensure technical alignment and smooth commissioning processes.

• Maintain comprehensive documentation of commissioning activities and operational procedures.

Qualifications:

• Master’s degree in Electrical Power Systems.

• Minimum of 20 years of proven experience in Utility Grid operation, Monitoring, and Control, with expertise in Wind, Solar, and BESS.

• Experience with Utility Grid Operation in Europe/North America is advantageous.

• Proficiency in tools like PSS/e, DIGSILENT, and PSCAD.

• Strong problem-solving abilities and project management skills.

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
