Key Responsibilities:

• Identify fresh prospects for grid connections through close collaboration with the land and planning teams.

• Initiate applications for new grid connections and evaluate the feasibility of received offers.

• Apply a blend of technical and commercial expertise to diligently manage the connections pipeline.

• Foster coordination and direct engagement with key stakeholders such as National Grid, Distribution Network Operators (DNOs), and Independent Distribution Network Operators (IDNOs).

• Oversee the execution of tasks undertaken by external contractors and consultants.

Your Profile:

• Possession of a relevant degree, such as electrical engineering, or an equivalent background.

• Proficiency in planning new connections, including the preparation and submission of grid applications, as well as the assessment of offers related to solar and/or storage.

• Sound knowledge of the UK's distribution networks, and preferably transmission networks, along with an understanding of the grid connection procedures, relevant codes, legislation, and the roles of the various pivotal parties involved.

• Acumen in electrical design for solar PV and battery storage facilities.

• The capability to identify and manage technical and commercial grid-related risks in the context of new grid connections.

• Prior experience in roles related to system planning, connection design, or equivalent fields would be advantageous.

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office tools.
