Job Title: Grid Connection Manager

Location: Poland (Remote)

The Grid Connection Manager will be responsible for managing all aspects of grid connection for onshore wind, solar PV and BESS, projects in Poland. You will play a crucial role in ensuring the timely and cost-effective connection of projects to the grid, while also managing relationships with grid operators, regulatory authorities, and other stakeholders. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of grid connection processes, excellent project management skills, and a proven track record of successfully delivering grid connection solutions for renewable energy projects.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead the grid connection process for renewable energy projects from initial planning through to energisation and grid synchronisation.

  • Collaborate with internal teams, external consultants, and grid operators to assess grid connection feasibility, identify connection points, and develop connection strategies that optimize project economics and minimize risks.

  • Manage the preparation and submission of grid connection applications, permits, studies, and other regulatory requirements in compliance with local regulations and grid codes.

  • Coordinate technical assessments, impact studies, grid modelling, and interconnection agreements with grid operators to ensure project compliance and grid stability.

  • Negotiate grid connection agreements, terms, and conditions with grid operators, transmission system operators (TSOs), distribution system operators (DSOs), and other relevant authorities.

  • Monitor project progress and timelines related to grid connection activities,

  • Identify potential bottlenecks or delays, and implement mitigation measures to keep projects on schedule.

  • Liaise with internal project teams, contractors, suppliers, and stakeholders to coordinate grid connection works, equipment procurement, and construction activities.

  • Provide regular updates and reports to senior management on grid connection status, milestones, risks, and opportunities.

  • Stay informed about regulatory changes, grid infrastructure developments, and emerging technologies in the renewable energy sector to identify opportunities for process improvement and innovation.

  • Represent the company in meetings, negotiations, and discussions with grid operators, regulatory authorities, industry associations, and other stakeholders to advocate for the interests of our projects.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering, renewable energy, or a related field. Advanced degree preferred.

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in grid connection management, project management, or electrical engineering, with a focus on renewable energy projects.

  • Deep understanding of grid connection processes, regulations, standards, and grid codes in Poland.

  • Proven track record of successfully delivering grid connection solutions for renewable energy projects

  • Strong project management skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and deliver results on time and within budget.

  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills

  • The ability to build and maintain effective relationships with internal and external stakeholders.

  • Strategic thinker with the ability to identify opportunities, assess risks, and develop creative solutions to complex challenges.

  • Highly organized and detail-oriented with a strong analytical mindset.

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite and project management software.

  • Fluency in Polish and English is required, additional languages would be an advantage.
