A multinational renewable energy company are recruiting for a Grid Connection Engineer for their growing team in Sydney. With a portfolio of multiple renewable energy projects on their books, this is an exciting opportunity for an experienced, ambitious professional who wants to expand their career with a forward thinking company.

As Grid Connection Engineer, you will be responsible in securing grid connection agreements for renewable energy projects across Australia. You will be responsible for the negotiation of the commercial and technical elements of grid connection agreements with the AEMO and other regulatory bodies.

The Role

You will have the following responsibilities:

·        Performing grid connection studies of renewable energy sites

·        Liaison with clients, network services providers, AEMO, and any other regulatory bodies

·        Development of connections agreements with NSPs and regulators

·        Responsible for energy regulations compliance for the project portfolio

·        Provide input into the regulatory strategy

·        Negotiation of EPC contracts

·        Management of external consultants

Candidate Requirements

·        An engineering degree in a relevant field eg. Power Systems Engineering/Electrical Engineering

·        Minimum 3 years’ experience in an engineering role in the electricity industry

·        Familiarity with AEMO

·        Previous Experience in MV / HV engineering connection works

·        Previous experience on renewable energy projects

·        A passion for the renewable energy industry

·        Project management skills and experience
