Summary:

A global renewable energy IPP are seeking a General Manager of Operations for their APAC operations.

As General Manager of Operations you will have senior level operations experience in renewable energy in the APAC region with a track record of providing operational deliverables at a senior management level. You will provide a clear strategic direction to operational elements within the organisation and identify and implement the required commercial solutions.

Based out of Vietnam, Singapore, or the Philippines you will manage and lead a small management team and you will influence and engage important stakeholders effectively across the business.

This is an exciting opportunity to provide an essential role in ensuring the company grows to new levels within the APAC region

Your responsibilities:

• Work closely with the CEO and other directors ensuring the company meets its overall objectives
• Provide responsibility for all operational aspects of the APAC business
• Co-ordinate the operations strategy, directing key managers who are responsible for the operational activity
• Accountability for finance, quality, H&S, HR, project management and supply chain management,
• Responsibility for budget planning and management
• Responsibility for project delivery on time and within budget
• Provide operations status management reports and activity reports which will be made alongside internal senior executives
• Develop relations with partner companies in supporting current and future projects
• Manage the strategy for supply chain management
• Recruit staff for business operations
• Conduct development and performance reviews
• Propose, agree, plan and manage budgets in all business operations

Skills, qualifications and experience required from you:

• Significant renewable energy experience
• Minimum five years senior management experience
• Extensive experience contracting for large scale capital renewable energy projects
• Knowledgeable of all elements of renewable energy generation
• Strong supervisory and project management skills
• P&L and budgeting and forecasting experience
• Experience in financial evaluation of investment prospects
• Ability in identifying, analysing, evaluating and negotiating commercial opportunities
• A strong leader and mentor with experience in leading and managing teams
