Functional Safety Engineer - Renewable Energy Projects
The Green Recruitment Company is pleased to announce an exciting opportunity for a Functional Safety Engineer. This role involves applying your expertise to a mix of Renewable Energy Projects, ensuring the highest standards of safety and operational excellence.
Location: Antwerp, Belgium
Contract Duration: 9 months
Hourly Rate: €60
Responsibilities:
Implementing functional safety measures across various renewable energy projects, including wind, solar, and other sustainable energy systems.
Performing safety assessments, risk analysis, and design reviews to guarantee compliance with relevant safety standards and legislation.
Collaborating with engineering teams to integrate safety principles into the design and operational procedures of projects.
Developing comprehensive safety documentation and safety cases for project lifecycle support.
Providing expert guidance and training on functional safety standards and practices to project teams.
Keeping abreast of the latest industry safety standards and regulations to ensure projects align with these requirements.
Engaging with clients, regulatory authorities, and other stakeholders to address safety concerns and maintain transparency.
Requirements:
A degree in Engineering, with a focus on Safety Engineering or a related discipline.
Proven track record in functional safety engineering, ideally within the renewable energy sector.
Familiarity with relevant safety standards (e.g., IEC 61508, ISO 26262).
Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
Excellent communication skills and ability to work collaboratively.
Proficiency in English, with knowledge of Dutch or French being an advantage.
Legal right to work in Belgium.
