Foundation Package Engineer – Offshore Wind

I am seeking:

  • 1 x Foundation Fabrication Manager

  • 1 x Foundation Design Manager

Based in Taiwan, however remote working can be considered.

Fixed Term Contract for an initial period of 18 months with an option to extend a further 3.5 years.

As a Foundation Package Engineer, you will within the engineering team to support the development of offshore wind projects. You’ll be pivotal in supporting the Fabrication or Design of Wind Farm Foundation packages to achieve right first time engineering, fabrication, transport, installation and operation for the development phase.

The Role:

  • Provide foundation package input to front-end project development

  • Define and lead technical studies to inform key project decisions

  • Develop the technical portion of the package application including technical specifications and information requirements

  • Work closely with the QA lead to define testing and inspection requirements

  • Lead the technical bid evaluation

  • Technical approval of sub-contractor engineering including design reviews

  • Review and approve client deviations

  • Verify supplier documentation and manage the document review process

  • Use this information to inform inspector visits and support client verification of construction work

  • Support technical queries from other project functions, particularly operations and commissioning

  • Verify package technical close-out and recommend readiness to ship

  • Capture lessons at keys stages during the package management lifecycle to inform project knowledge

Your Profile:

  • Hold a degree in Civil/Structural Engineering

  • Be professionally qualified (Professional Engineer, Chartered Engineer) or equivalent.

  • Proven technical competency in structural engineering discipline with broad understanding of the applicable codes and standards for the scope

  • Substantial experience of projects (pre-FEED/FEED/detailed design, construction, installation and operations support)

  • A minimum of 5+ years of relevant experience of offshore structures

  • Awareness of the different interfaces with supporting engineering disciplines for the scope of this package, particularly geotechnical

  • Understand technical risk identification and management processes to deliver safe and competitive projects

  • Understand Quality Management process for engineering, manufacture and installation

  • Understand technical aspects of competitive procurement process

  • Ability in performance management of others (including. 3rd party engineering services providers) to support timely decision making

  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to work effectively across functions and within multi-disciplinary teams
