THE OPPORTUNITY: 

A specialist developer of Energy Storage technology are looking for a Finance Manager to help scale-up their development pipeline. After a recent successful close of new funding, new are looking for an ambitious Finance Manager to work closely with the CFO to oversee their accounts and audit processes. 

THE ROLE: 

• Preparing financial statutory statements under IFRS and German GAAP
• Managing the quarterly audit process 
• Review team of assistant accountants' output 
• Managing tax compliance and relief processes with tax partners 
• Leading quarterly consolidation of accounts 
• Preparation of annual expenses budget and forecast modelling (as well as review of project company budget against KPIs) 
• Reviewing monthly/quarterly VAT returns 
• Completing ad hoc and company secretarial work where relevant (such as maintaining databases, reviewing payroll and compliance) 
• Be prepared to review and make proactive improvements to existing financial/accounts systems and processes 

THE INDIVIDUAL: 

• Qualified accountant with at least 4 Years' PQE 
• Experience in a renewables/start-up setting is highly desirable 
• Competent understanding of consolidation processes and German GAAP 
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Office platforms and SAGE system 
• Strong financial modelling skills 
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
