This 12-month contract provides an hourly rate ranging from $35 to $45, based on your experience and expertise, ideal for a professional who is enthusiastic about renewable energy and sustainable practices.

About the Role:

In this critical role, you will be responsible for ensuring the optimal performance and reliability of large-scale solar PV installations. Your duties will involve conducting maintenance checks, troubleshooting issues, and implementing solutions to enhance system efficiency. This position offers a great mix of fieldwork and customer interaction, perfect for someone who enjoys a hands-on approach to problem-solving and client service.

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform routine and emergency maintenance on solar PV systems to ensure peak operational performance.

• Troubleshoot and repair system malfunctions, providing quick and effective resolutions to minimize downtime.

• Analyze system data to identify performance trends and areas for improvement.

• Collaborate with technical teams to share insights and develop best practices in system maintenance and troubleshooting.

• Maintain detailed records of all maintenance activities, documenting system performance and service histories.

• Engage with customers to provide technical support and education on system operation and maintenance.

Requirements:

• Proven experience as a Field Service Engineer, particularly in the solar energy or a related technical field.

• Strong technical and diagnostic skills, with a thorough understanding of solar PV systems.

• Excellent communication skills, capable of delivering high-quality customer service and technical explanations.

• Willingness to travel around the Hartford area and work in outdoor environments.

• A degree or certification in Electrical Engineering, Renewable Energy, or similar technical discipline is preferred.
