My client is an Investment Manager dedicated to sustainable investing and positive social and environmental impact, with a strong presence across emerging markets.
Through continued growth and an increasing global push for sustainable financing solutions, they're looking to hire an ESG Assocuate in Singapore, to work across all renewable energy and infrastructure projects across the region.
E&S due diligence including completion of E&S screening assessments; climate mitigation/adaption assessments and desk-based research
Coordination of development phase tasks relating to environmental and social impact assessments (ESIA) and other specialist studies
Support with the development and implementation of investment-specific Community Development programmes
Support with strategic initiatives for the Fund Manager and the managed funds
Desk-based and field-based monitoring of the environmental and social performance of assets including audits during the construction and operation phases
Ideally degree educated (or equivalent) in a relevant disciple including geography, environmental science, environmental economics or social sciences
Ideally 3+ years’ experience in an ESG-related role ideally in an E&S consultancy, for a developer or an investor organisation
Good understanding of environmental and social impacts and risks in the renewable energy, water and waste sectors
Attention to detail, intellectual curiosity, passion for learning, and an interest in sustainable development
Strong quantitative and qualitative research skills with the ability to perform independent research and analysis
