Job description

​We are looking for a seasoned Project Engineering Leader to join our team in Jacksonville. In this role, you will be responsible for leading and managing engineering projects from concept through completion. This includes coordinating across multiple departments, ensuring technical alignment, maintaining project timelines, and keeping within budget.

As a key contributor, you will work closely with the Commissioning Manager to ensure successful project execution—from initial planning to final handover. You will also be tasked with identifying risks, resolving technical challenges, and promoting collaboration and innovation within the team.

The ideal candidate will have a solid background in electrical engineering, with strong project management and problem-solving capabilities. Experience in power systems, battery systems, and energy storage integration is highly desirable.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead engineering projects from initiation through delivery, ensuring technical and project goals are met

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define project scope, objectives, and deliverables

  • Develop and manage project schedules, budgets, and resource plans

  • Review and write technical specifications to ensure alignment with customer requirements and contractor deliverables

  • Monitor project progress and proactively address challenges and roadblocks

  • Provide technical leadership and mentorship to project team members

  • Facilitate stakeholder communication to ensure clarity and alignment throughout the project lifecycle

  • Conduct risk assessments and implement mitigation strategies as needed

Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or a related discipline

  • At least 8 years of experience in electrical or project engineering roles

  • Strong expertise in power systems, battery systems, and control systems

  • Hands-on experience with both DC- and AC-coupled Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS), including optimization, integration, and controller design

  • Deep understanding of project management methodologies

  • Proven ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-paced environment

  • Strong analytical, critical thinking, and decision-making skills

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
