Job description

​The Green Recruitment Company is looking for an Engineering Director to work in a major IPP with a presence in more than 10 countries. The selected person will report to the Head of Engineering and will be responsible for providing technical support to local project teams and will manage all aspects related to wind asset engineering and technology.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead the wind engineering and technology area within the Engineering function

  • Respond to the commercial needs of assets at different stages (development, construction and operations), and merger and acquisition opportunities.

  • Develop, implement and maintain management processes, guidelines and standards related to engineering.

  • Provide technical support to national and corporate teams during all phases of the project life cycle.

  • Proactively share and lead by example knowledge and experiences with other company departments.

  • Develop understanding and business capacity in plant health monitoring, predictive maintenance and diagnostics.

  • Act as the technical leader for the negotiation and acquisition of supply, service and maintenance of components.

  • Define standards and scope for the inspection of turbines and solar plants as well as commissioning review during project delivery.

Requirements:

  • A Degree in mechanical, electrical, industrial or similar engineering.

  • Have more than 8 years of experience in Solar and/or Wind Engineering.

  • Accredit demonstrable experience and knowledge in wind turbines, obtained by working in the operation of renewable energy projects.

  • Experience in team management.

  • Fluent English.

  • Availability to travel.
